What motivated you to choose a career in nursing: I wanted a career that would be flexible and that would keep me busy.
Why did you choose SDSU to pursue your nursing degree: I really liked the campus after touring and thought it was a good distance from home! It turned out to be the perfect fit, and I’m so glad I came here!
What clinical experience have you enjoyed the most and why: I was at the Brookings hospital my first semester and enjoyed that, it seems like a really nice hospital and it’s beautiful. I am currently at Avera Brain and Spine right now and have been getting a lot of good experience there as well. I am looking forward to the OB experience later this semester, too.
Organizations that you are involved in: Bible study
Is there a particular field of nursing you are planning to pursue: Right now I don’t know, but I think I would really like O.B.
What is your big dream: To get married and have a family. I think it would be super nice to have a job that I love that would still allow me to be with my family a lot too.
What advice would you share with a future nursing student Take advantage of any opportunity to practice your skills and go to any extra lab time that is offered.
