About Advising
Each MMC student is assigned an academic advisor, who they work with in developing their plan of study and go to for any and all program questions and issues. The academic advisor is also typically the project advisor for Option B students. The Office of Continuing & Distance Education is also a resource for students with issues involving administrative and course enrollment issues.
Academic advisors and support staff try to respond to inquiries in a timely manner, keeping university breaks in mind. If you have any questions the advisor cannot answer, they will work to either find the answer or get in touch with someone who can assist you.
Once accepted to the program, your first correspondence from the graduate school will indicate who your advisor is. You should contact your advisor soon after your acceptance to introduce yourself and schedule a time to talk.
