"I am from Jackson, Minnesota, a small town in the southwestern part of the state. I have loved science since I was young, and always knew I wanted to go into the medical field. A few years ago, my grandma was diagnosed with lung cancer, and she talked about how helpful her respiratory therapists were during that time. I started looking into the RT field more, and the more I learned about it, the more I knew that it would be the perfect career choice for me."

"The Respiratory Care program has been a great experience so far. The small class size allows the professors to spend more one-on-one time with students. The professors make class fun and engaging, taking time to thoroughly explain the answer to any question. Even though our classes have been online this summer, we are now able to go into the hospitals for our clinical shifts. Being able to work with registered RT’s, learning how machines work, listening to breath sounds on real patients and getting so much hands-on experience has been my favorite part so far. I am so excited to be a part of this program, and I can’t wait to help patients breathe easier!"
