The space reflects South Dakota with 225 green seats for the prairie. The ceiling is made with Black Hills timber and the acoustic panels are colored rose quartz. A 2,848-pipe Reuter pipe organ was purchased for the facility and was brought from Colorado. The hall also has a balcony with seating and stained glass.
The name honors the words and intention of benefactor Horace Fishback III, who grew up in Brookings and went on to become a professional organist, composer and professor of music.
