Helping Connect Students to Aid

SDSU is committed to helping students find the resources available to help pay for college. The Financial Aid Office is a member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), and our staff follow the NASFAA Code of Conduct and Ethical Principals.

Students who want to apply for federal student aid will need to complete the FAFSA. When completing the FAFSA, be sure to list SDSU's school code (003471). The priority deadline for submitting the FAFSA is March 1.

FAFSA Next Steps

Each student who completes the FAFSA will receive a Financial Aid Offer from SDSU detailing the student's financial aid package. Financial aid packages may include loans, grants, Work-Study and scholarships. Students are notified when their Financial Aid Offer is ready to view and students can then access it online through a student's Self Service portal. The notification will be sent to students via email to their Jacks email account.

View our Applying for Aid page for in depth instructions on each step.
