To be considered for federal student aid, students must complete the FAFSA. The 7 Easy Steps to the FAFSA provides an online tutorial to completing the FAFSA. The SDSU Financial Aid Office is available to answer your FAFSA questions.

Although students may continue to complete the FAFSA throughout the school year, SDSU's priority date for submitting the FAFSA is March 15. Students who complete the FAFSA on or before this date will be considered for all financial aid programs including those with limited funding.

To be eligible for federal aid, students must be degree seeking. For federal loans, student must be enrolled in at least 6 credits as an undergrad or at least 5 credits as a graduate student.
