Office of Nursing Research
The Office of Nursing Research (ONR) was established concurrently with the nursing Ph.D. program in 2005 to assist with pre- and post-award research-related activities for the CON. Examples of pre-award services include assisting with identification of funding sources, budget development, overseeing the grant submission process, and identification of consultants or teams. Post-award services include budget tracking, assistance with supply and equipment purchases, preparation of progress and final reports, assistance in database management, and manuscript review. The Associate Dean for Research is the leader of ONR and guides faculty to establish immediate and long-range goals for research and scholarly activities in collaboration with respective supervisors.
The CON Research Committee has responsibility to assist in promoting and implementing research within the CON. The Committee reviews all research proposals involving SDSU CON students. Members are also available to support grant and manuscript review. The Research Committee recommends candidates for the annual Dean’s Distinguished Lecture, and provides input into the review of research-related policies.
