Visit the College of Nursing

High school applicants and transfer students

Visit South Dakota State nursing and find out how its many academic opportunities can turn your passion into a career. Typically when you visit the Brookings main campus you will:

  • Hear from admissions. Learn about admissions requirements, tuition, scholarships, financial aid, residential life, student activities and more.
  • Take a student led campus tour. Student admissions ambassadors will take you on a walking tour around campus, with stops in classrooms, residence halls, the wellness facilities and more.
  • Meet an academic advisor in the College of Nursing. During your time with the College of Nursing, you will receive a tour of the Healthcare Simulation Center, and we can discuss how to tailor your plan of study to your particular needs and interests. We will discuss academic options like dual degrees, minors, study abroad and more.

Contact the Office of Admission to schedule a visit to the Brookings main campus (request an appointment with nursing). To visit Aberdeen, Rapid City or Sioux Falls, contact the nursing student services staff directly:

All RN to BSN, master’s, postgraduate, Doctor of Nursing Practice and Doctor of Philosophy applicants, are encouraged to visit with our nursing student services staff. We know that many of you live across the country—and the world—and will not have the opportunity to visit campus. For those who can visit, we welcome you. You’ll have a chance to meet with an academic advisor, and, if possible, faculty in your area of interest.  To visit, via phone, email or in person, contact:
