Dreaming of a career in health care?
If you’re interested in a career that will give you the chance to help others, consider working in a health-related field! You can explore the wide-array of opportunities available in this field at SDSU’s Health Professions Career Camp – held virtually in 2020. Students will be able to interact with health care professionals and participate in a variety of activities, such as:
- Demonstrations and information provided for many areas including nursing, pharmacy, pre-professional programs, human nutrition, exercise science, biology, microbiology, medical laboratory science, and more.
- Virtual visits to local health care facilities and specialty clinics which may include a virtual tour of their facilities.
- Question and answer panel sessions with a range of healthcare professionals.
The camp is best suited for students who will be entering their Junior or Senior year of high school the fall after attending the camp. The virtual camp experience is being provided free of charge this year. The first 50 participants to sign up will receive a camp t-shirt and a Health Professions Career Camp sticker however if more students are interested in participating beyond that, we will be able to accommodate additional students with the online format. We ask that you register by Wednesday, July 22nd!
Sponsored by Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center, Health Professions Career Camp is supported and organized by the College of Nursing, the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions and the Department of Biology/Microbiology.
