The purpose of the College of Nursing (CON) Seed Grant opportunity is to support CON assistant professors and above with seed money toward the development of applicant’s research trajectory and/or innovative pilot projects. Solicitations occur annually via an email from the CON Research Committee. Funding is for one year and can total up to $2,500. Funds may be used for supplies, travel required for the research (e.g., to collect data or present a paper), or to support project personnel not funded by other grants or mechanisms (e.g., undergraduate/graduate research assistants, faculty summer salary). Priority will be given to research proposals that show the greatest potential for extramural funding. Proposals to supplement an ongoing funded project are discouraged. Financing of applicant’s thesis or dissertation publication is not permitted.
