Communications Center

Communications Center

The Communications Center is located on Campanile Avenue between Morrill Hall and Bailey Rotunda.

Building Description

When it was constructed in 1936, the building was primarily used for music classes.

What once was a classroom annex, is now a renovated office space. Exposed beams and high ceilings display what the building looked like in its early years.

In the building are four offices, two conference rooms and over 20 cubicle spaces. University Marketing and Communications is located in the building and manages all aspects of South Dakota State University marketing strategies and materials. It advocates on behalf of the university.

The university’s brand, websites and social media accounts are maintained there. Writers, graphic designers and photographers create university publications, digital content and marketing materials for distribution. It provides layout, production and graphic design of newsletters, books, posters, brochures and more.
