Studio art seniors to display thesis exhibition in March

Two South Dakota State University seniors are presenting their BFA Thesis Exhibition on campus this month.

The joint exhibition, titled “Metanoia,” is set for March 6-24 and will include paintings and ceramic sculptures, which are the work of students Cora Harris and Hailey Christenson.

A studio art major with a specialization in art education, Christenson is from Lonsdale, Minnesota. She is a 2018 graduate of New Prague High School. Harris, a studio art major with a specialization in painting, is from Sioux Falls. She is a 2018 graduate of New Technology High School.

The public exhibition will be displayed in the Ritz Gallery of Grove Hall at SDSU, located south of the University Student Union between Mathews and Brown residence halls. Admission is free, and parking is available in the union lot. The Ritz Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed weekends and holidays).

A public reception for Harris and Christenson will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. March 9 in the Ritz Gallery.
