Nursingprocess.org is a free educational resource, built and managed by a team of educators and health care professionals who are committed to providing visitors with the most updated career and education related information about various health care occupations. It currently serves over 5 million unique visitors annually. The firm’s website states, “the nursing schools listed in the list of best B.S.N. programs are known for their excellent employable B.S.N. education. These schools enjoy a stellar reputation and have a history of outstanding NCLEX-RN pass rates.”
According to Shehnaz Reddy, communication officer at Nursingprocess.org, SDSU’s ranking is based on various factors such as average NCLEX-RN first-time pass rates, enrollment rate, graduation rate and retention rate. Also, internet reviews and ratings were factored into the rankings. The data required for the rankings was collected from IPEDs, state board of nursing websites, U.S. News & World Report, Niche, Grad Reports, Rate My Professors and the official school websites.
“We appreciate rankings such as these that demonstrate the opportunities we provide our students to be successful, not only in the classroom but also when in the workforce,” said Mary Anne Krogh ’85/’11 Ph.D., the College of Nursing’s dean. SDSU was the nation’s first college of nursing to enter into an agreement with CareSpan, which is an innovative health-care delivery system. “SDSU delivers quality nursing education to students whether they’re taking classes in person or online.”
