SDSU Art and Design Juried Exhibit and Competition winners to be announced later this month

The winners of the annual South Dakota State University Art and Design Juried Exhibit and Competition will be announced at 1:30 p.m. April 28. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, viewers are encouraged to attend via Juried Exhibit Zoom.

The exhibit will be open to the public April 29-Aug. 27 in Grove Hall’s Ritz Gallery on the SDSU campus.

Judging the contest will be Angela Zonunpari and Eli Show. They will have a public artist talk, which will be livestreamed at 6:30 p.m. April 22. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP at visiting artist to receive more information.

Their talk looks at the process of curation and art-making. Zonunpari and Show both live in Sioux Falls and have master’s degrees from Syracuse University. They draw focus on current obsessions and attractions that influence what they make as artists.

This public artist talk has been made possible by the Van Zante Endowment Fund and the SDSU School of Design.
