The Miller Wellness Center was certified as LEED Silver on November 20, 2020.
According to the U.S. Green Building Council, the organization that certifies buildings, LEED is “the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in key areas of human and environmental health.” These areas include sustainable site selection, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, materials & resources, indoor environmental quality, regional priorities, and innovation in design.
The Miller Wellness Center addition is the 14th LEED Silver building certified on campus. SDSU also has two LEED Gold certified buildings. To view a full list of SDSU LEED certified buildings visit the SDState Sustainability website.
