While current self-reported COVID-19 cases on the South Dakota State University campus are less than 100, the university has the capacity to test up to 200 students daily for COVID-19. To be tested, students with symptoms should first call SDSU Student Health Clinic and Counseling Services at 605-688-4157.
Tests for SDSU students will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The testing will take place in Lot 152, which is near Frost Arena.
If a student does not have symptoms but is interested in being tested, one should visit the drive-thru or walk-up stations. To be tested, the student should have one of the following reasons:
- Have been told by South Dakota Department of Health that they are a direct contact of an individual with a confirmed COVID-19 case;
- Have self-reported they are a direct contact of a person with a confirmed COVID-19 case to SDSU; or
- Have received an email from SDSU inviting them to be tested because of several known infections in their living area or activity group.
Students can expect that Student Health Clinic and Counseling Services will try to contact them with test results later in the day following sampling.
