With falling temperatures and increased winds, South Dakota State University is canceling classes that start at 5 p.m. or later Wednesday. Please note: If the scheduled class begins before 5 p.m. and ends after 5 p.m., class will still be held.
Campus services will remain open this evening as normal and all events are still on as scheduled.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will drop this evening below minus 20 with winds gusting between 35 and 50 mph. Please take appropriate precautions if you must be out in the elements.
At this time, classes will be held tomorrow as scheduled. Should this change, communication will be provided through our emergency notification system to all students and employees. As with any situation, when a student chooses not to attend classes when they are in session, one will need to work with faculty on whether this will be excused.
