South Dakota State University will welcome nearly 130 employers to the annual College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) Career Fair on Oct. 2. The fair will take place in the University Student Union from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“The Career Fair is open to all CAFES students and gives them the opportunity to connect face-to-face with potential employers and learn about internship and career opportunities,” said Don Marshall, CAFES Associate Dean for Academic Programs.
Businesses and government agencies from nearly 10 states will represent a multitude of industries, including agronomy, biotechnology, dairy, equipment, finance, food, government, horticulture, livestock, manufacturing, medical, natural resources, national park service, conservation services, poultry, swine, precision agriculture, research and technology. Employers will be recruiting for both internships and full-time positions and have the option of conducting interviews with potential candidates the day after the fair.
Premier sponsors for this year’s CAFES Career Fair are Agropur, Agtegra Cooperative, CHS, Crystal Valley, JBS, Syngenta and Wilbur-Ellis. The event is hosted by CAFES and the SDSU Office of Career Development.
