“Irresistible,” by Adam Alter, is about the rise of behavioral addiction and why so many current technologies are irresistible. The book is South Dakota State University’s 2019 Common Read selection.
As part of the 2019 Common Read’s focus on the ABC’S of the conscientious use of technology with themes of access, behavior, connection and safety, Keith Bundy will present “Accessible in Technology” at 7 p.m. Monday in the Bailey Rotunda Hall, Room G.
Bundy, who is blind, has worked for more than 35 years in a variety of professional positions and is currently a digital accessibility consultant and trainer with Siteimprove Inc. His presentation will define digital accessibility and explain why it is such an important topic in today's world. In addition, several accessibility tips and tricks will be discussed.
A certified professional in accessibility core competencies, he holds certifications in accessibility information and technology, JAWS for Windows and NVDA. Bundy has spoken at several national and international conferences and events. He most recently appeared at the Guelph Accessibility Conference at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He often demonstrates the need for, and benefits of, making websites accessible and usable for all.
