The South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association (SDVMA) and SDSU partnered to honor 14 SDSU students who have been accepted to veterinary schools for Fall 2019.  The ceremony, the seventh annual, was held on Friday, April 26 in the Hobo Day gallery of the SDSU student union.  A capacity crowd of family members, friends, and SDSU faculty and staff was on hand.

The students, all of whom completed their pre-veterinary coursework at SDSU, were presented 3M Littmann Cardiology IV stethoscopes courtesy of the SDSU Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences Department and the SDVMA.  Each blue-tubed stethoscope was personalized with the student’s name and an SDSU insignia, and was presented to each student by a faculty member, staff member, or veterinarian who played a special role in their education while at SDSU.

Addressing the attendees were SDSU Provost Dr. Dennis Hedge and Dr. Jane Hennings, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences Department Head.  Dr. Russ Daly, SDSU, brought greetings on behalf of the SDVMA.
