Schools.com has ranked South Dakota State University as the best four-year college in the state.
Schools.com cited SDState for becoming one of the state's more prominent online colleges, innovative education programs, commitment to research and dynamic learning environment.
“South Dakota State University ranked No. 1 in the state for graduation and retention rate. Additionally, SDSU showed very strong rankings for the average price of tuition and fees. Schools.com also recognizes the university’s dedication to student success by providing services such as career counseling and job placement,” said Brad Bennion, outreach coordinator at Schools.com.
Schools.com ranked 1,383 four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. Each school was scored on a 100-point scale, using data such as average amount of institutional grant aid awarded to full-time, first-time undergraduate students as a percentage of in-state tuition and fees, median debt of graduates and full-time retention rate.
