SDSU landscape architecture program partners with Brookings School District
Three members of the South Dakota State University School of Design have completed a collaborative project with the Brookings School District. Instructor of landscape architecture Jeremiah Bergstrom and landscape architecture students Isabelle Plagge and Cerington Jones worked together to assist the Brookings schools.
‘Now and Then’ exhibit features work of SDSU alum
The South Dakota State University School of Design is hosting a new alumni gallery exhibit, “Now and Then,” in the Ritz Gallery in Grove Hall on the SDSU campus. The solo exhibition features the work of art educator Michael Aasness, who is the grades 6-12 art instructor at Sioux Valley School District in Volga.
Studio art senior to display artworks in Ritz Gallery
South Dakota State University studio art senior Emma Hoff of Gillette, Wyoming, will display her Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis exhibition on campus from Nov. 11-22.
SDSU landscape architecture students compete, place third in Istanbul
Two South Dakota State University students in the landscape architecture program competed in an international competition in Istanbul, Turkey. Jake Pytleski and Miranda Peck represented the SDSU School of Design in the International Federation of Landscape Architects conference Sept. 4-6. Pytleski’s team placed third in the conference competition.
Lincoln Hall to host new art exhibition on Oct. 24
A new art exhibition that explores the intersection of science, art and intuition will open Thursday, Oct. 24, in Lincoln Hall, located on the South Dakota State University campus.
Experiencing SDSU in Sioux Falls
From NASA rovers and jumping challenges to medieval weapons and a virtual reality exploration of the ocean, South Dakota State University Day at the Washington Pavilion gave students and visitors a taste of what SDSU has to offer. More than a dozen academic programs took over the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls Sept. 20-21 to showcase the many different opportunities at SDSU in a first-of-its-kind event.
