Driving Directions

Due to construction projects and limited Union parking this summer, we ask that all NSO attendees follow the directions below for easiest access to the University Student Union. Attendees should park in the large southeast lot (#158 on the campus map). The Union entrance is about a 5-minute walk from the lot.

NOTE: Attendees and/or guests who require accessible parking may park in the Union pay lot on the east side of the building (#150 on the campus map). 

OVERNIGHT ATTENDEES: Details still being determined for overnight attendees, please check back closer to your scheduled NSO session.

FROM THE SOUTH

• Traveling north on I-29, take Brookings exit 132.
• Turn left and travel west into Brookings. You are now on Highway 14, which is also 6th Street (the main road through town). 
• Follow 6th Street to Jackrabbit Avenue. You will see McDonald's on the corner. 
• Turn right on Jackrabbit Avenue (heading north). 
• Proceed north on Jackrabbit Avenue to the four-way stop (the cross street is 8th Street).
• Turn right on 8th Street. You will see a large parking lot on your left.
• When you reach the entrance to the parking lot, turn left.
• Head toward the northwest part of the lot for closest parking to the Student Union.
• Cross Jackrabbit Avenue and walk west along Student Union Lane toward the University Student Union.

FROM THE NORTH

• Traveling south on I-29, take the second Brookings exit (#132).
• Turn right and travel west into Brookings. You are now on Highway 14, which is also 6th Street (the main road through town). 
• Follow 6th Street to Jackrabbit Avenue. You will see McDonald's on the corner. 
• Turn right on Jackrabbit Avenue (heading north). 
• Proceed north on Jackrabbit Avenue to the four-way stop (the cross street is 8th Street).
• Turn right on 8th Street. You will see a large parking lot on your left.
• When you reach the entrance to the parking lot, turn left.
• Head toward the northwest part of the lot for closest parking to the Student Union.
• Cross Jackrabbit Avenue and walk west along Student Union Lane toward the University Student Union.

FROM THE EAST

• Traveling west on Highway 14, you will enter Brookings on 6th Street, which is the main road through town.
• Follow 6th Street to Jackrabbit Avenue. You will see McDonald's on the corner. 
• Turn right on Jackrabbit Avenue (heading north). 
• Proceed north on Jackrabbit Avenue to the four-way stop (the cross street is 8th Street).
• Turn right on 8th Street. You will see a large parking lot on your left.
• When you reach the entrance to the parking lot, turn left.
• Head toward the northwest part of the lot for closest parking to the Student Union.

FROM THE WEST

• Traveling east on Highway 14, you will enter Brookings on 6th Street, which is the main road through town.
• Follow 6th Street to Jackrabbit Avenue. You will see McDonald's on the corner. 
• Turn left on Jackrabbit Avenue (heading north). 
• Proceed north on Jackrabbit Avenue to the four-way stop (the cross street is 8th Street).
• Turn right on 8th Street. You will see a large parking lot on your left.
• When you reach the entrance to the parking lot, turn left.
• Head toward the northwest part of the lot for closest parking to the Student Union.
• Cross Jackrabbit Avenue and walk west along Student Union Lane toward the University Student Union.

Please avoid other lots marked reserved, fire lanes and handicapped spaces (unless applicable). Parking passes are not required during NSO.
