Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is here and the holiday offers a break and time with family. It is also a time for giving thanks and gratitude. While family, friends and a bountiful Thanksgiving meal may come to mind, what other things are you grateful for?

The opportunity to explore educational interests and pursue a college degree, are something each of us should be appreciative of. While classes and homework can sometimes feel challenging, the opportunity to learn and expand our knowledge help us to grow and become better individuals.

During the process of pursuing our college education, we can also be grateful for the opportunities to get involved in campus activities. From intramural sports to collegiate clubs and internships, these activities offer important experiences to broaden our horizons. Be thankful for the ability to participate in these activities.

Finally, Thanksgiving reminds us of the many people who positively impact our lives. From teachers and campus staff to roommates, friends and family. This is a time to tell them “Thank You” for their support, encouragement, and kindness.
