Finals are around the corner and the semester is coming to an end. For some of us this marks the end of our first semester and for others it may mark the beginning of our last semester. No matter where we are in school, it is important to keep working hard to finish the semester strong. Here are a few tips to help prepare for finals in the upcoming weeks.

Whether you are looking for a part time position, full time position or summer internship now is the time to start researching and applying to find the perfect job for you. Although summer may seem far off, career fairs are in progress and companies are forming their hiring plans. Thus, students must also think ahead and start filling out applications. The decision to take summer classes can be tricky, and summer classes aren’t for everyone. Do you want to take up time during your summer to work on homework? Can summer classes fit into your work schedule? Are you motivated enough to take classes during the summer break? Well, here are some pros and cons to help you decide if summer classes are right for you.

The 2022 – 2023 school year is coming to an end with only a month left of classes. But now is not the time to give up. In fact, now is more important than ever to work harder, ask more question, attend office hours and seek the help needed in order to successful pass all your classes. Here are a few basic tips to finish out the school year strong.

Are you struggling to understand a certain course topic, homework assignment or want to review a test and learn from your mistakes? Office hours with your professors is a great way to get the help and answers that you need to succeed in a class. Don’t be shy, book the appointment and you won’t regret it.

Andrew Law is a junior from Wall South Dakota, studying Agricultural Business and Business Economics with minors in Accounting and Land Valuation / Real Estate. On campus he is a member of the SDSU track team as well as is involved in FIRE Club. Law enjoys the people and atmosphere of Brookings and the campus and state, “You won’t find a better college atmosphere that has as much to offer as SDSU.”

The Ness School is excited to host the Management, Economics & Communication Fair on Wednesday March 8, 2023, from 1pm to 4 pm at the Volstorff Ballroom in the Student Union. Over 60 companies will be in attendance offering internships and full-time positions for all students. This event is a great opportunity to connect face-to-face with employers from a variety of industries.

Sawyer Lee is a junior from Pierre, South Dakota majoring in Business Economics with a minor in Land Valuation. On campus Lee is a member and treasurer for the SDSU fishing team, a member of the Investment club, an Ambassador for the Ness School of Management and Economics.
