  • Through this comic presentation, 'Get Out Of Your Bubble!' shows students a slice of the changing world that they went to college to prepare themselves for.  It also shows them how taking advantage of all of the resources offered at their institution will make them more culturally-aware, knowledgeable and marketable in a far more competitive world.

  1. Why We Need Inclusiveness

  • In this workshop participants will learn how diversity is greater than race, ethnicity, and gender and how inclusion can be best understood through exploring the emotions and motives associated with exclusion. We will discuss the principles behind creating brave and safe spaces to have these uncomfortable conversations at work. And through exploring the art of storytelling, we will find creative and responsible ways to express ourselves and listen to the journeys of others.

  • SANTOS burst onto the Stand Up comedy scene 8 years ago in her first National Television debut on Showtime Network’s “Pride Comedy Jam”.  The Network touts, “a hip and hilarious show with a great ensemble of up and coming diverse comics, including the witty anecdotes of Latina Lesbian comic Renee Santos.”

  • César is a third-year law student at Creighton University. He is a member of the Creighton Scholars Program and the Frances M. Ryan Endowed Scholarship. He was the President of his school's Immigration Law Society and Gender & Sexuality Alliance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Latino/Latin American Studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he graduated summa cum laude. César has worked in immigrant legal services since he was 18, including, most recently, a fellowship with the Jerome N. Frank Legal Services Organization at Yale Law School. He is currently externing with the Immigrant Legal Center. This past summer, he was the subject of NPR's docu-series "Where We Come From," which highlighted César's own struggles with immigration bureaucracy and small-town Nebraska.

  • Gathering material from a wealth of life experiences, Jose takes audiences on the rollercoaster ride that’s been his life.  Born in Cuba and deported because of his father’s political prisoner status, he came to the U.S. at a young age. He made them proud when, after high school, he was accepted to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado.  He became an officer in the Air Force, is an accomplished aviator, and is a veteran having served in Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

  • The Rocketman true story confirms that Elton, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, developed an early interest in piano and reportedly taught himself how to play. He performed "The Skater's Waltz" at the age of 3 after learning it by ear. It became clear that he was blessed with an incredible gift.
