Seeking Volunteers to Pilot Life Readiness Curriculum

Deadline: Apr. 24

Do you currently do career exploration work with middle and high school students? Do you believe that those youth would benefit from exploring careers related to Food, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences? Consider submitting an application to pilot the latest version of Careers in a Box within your community.

Careers in a Box is a curriculum developed by faculty at South Dakota State and North Dakota State University. Featuring five career exploration activities, the aim is to expose students to careers that they may not be aware of. What types of skills make someone a good hotel event manager? How do you help diverse families balance a budget? How do you prepare a convincing environmental argument? These are just some of the questions that this round of Careers in a Box will explore.

Interested individuals must be willing to implement Careers in a Box between the Summer and Fall semesters (i.e., lessons completed by the end of December 2023), and complete a brief qualitative interview following implementation. Fill in the survey to apply to be a pilot site. Application deadline is Apr. 24
