Q: What courses are required for all students in the MCOM programs?

A: There are several core courses required of all MCOM students, such as MCOM 210, Newswriting and Reporting; MCOM 220, Introduction to Digital Media; and MCOM 430, Media Law. In addition, students must complete an advanced writing course in their emphasis and either MCOM 416, Mass Media in Society, ADV 476 International and Ethnic Advertising or MCOM 417, History of Journalism. Finally, all students must complete an internship.
