Program-related Costs:

The SDSU registration system will bill you for the program package cost (see below) and 1 credit for the Summer and 2 credits for the Fall semester. The tuition rate for this program is set by the SD Board of Regents and will be the off-campus tuition rate for the 3 total credits.

Once you have completed the application and submitted the required documents (Behavior Agreement, Risk, Release and Waiver Statement, and Payment and Withdrawal Policy), have paid the non-refundable deposit, you will be considered committed and confirmed on the program. 

Cost Breakdown

Tuition: 1 credit billed in Summer and 2 credits billed in Fall semester = *$1,053.75

Program package = $3,377.00

The program package includes the following: a pre-departure advising and orientation meetings, on-campus food, transportation from SDSU to and from the departure airport, roundtrip airfare, accommodations on-site, some meals, excursions, guides, gratuities, data/risk management fee, and CISI medical and security evacuation insurance.

*Note: Tuition is based on the 2019/2020 academic year. Figures subject to change prior to summer and fall 2020 following the SDBOR updates.

Items not Included

These items are not included in the program package and students will need to budget for the following:

Personal spending money: **$100.00-$500.00

Lunches: $90.00

Dinners: $120.00

Food in airports: $20.00

**Personal Spending Money:

Students should bring enough money to cover additional meals and personal experiences (e.g. snacks, water, souvenirs, etc.). The amount will vary by student and some students bring as little as $100.00 while some bring up to $500.00. 

Financial Aid

Financial assistance may be available when students may appropriate arrangements with SDSU's Office of Financial Aid. Since each student's aid package is different, students who need assistance should contact the Office of Financial Aid at 688-4702 to discuss options for financing the program with a counselor.
