Expanding populations, increased leisure time, greater mobility, and changing social attitudes are just a few reasons why the demand for parks and recreation services is increasing now and is expected to increase in the future. The park and recreation management curriculum at SDSU is designed to help interested students develop into park recreation and sport professionals who provide individuals the opportunities to work with people, use creativity and imagination, practice leadership skills, and help guide people in their leisure pursuits to live richer, fuller, and happier lives. A minor in Recreation Administration is also offered. Two areas of specialization are available:
