The College of Education and Human Sciences and the Department of Health and Nutritional Sciences are able to offer scholarships because of the generosity of alumni, friends, and industry. Scholarships are awarded to incoming students, current students, and graduate students. A list of all of the scholarships awarded through our department and college is provided on our Scholarship page.
The department offers a number of opportunities for students to be involved. The student organizations are run by students and provide opportunities for professional development and social interaction through numerous events on campus as well as service learning projects. Travel opportunities are available, including regional and national conferences. More information on student organizations can be found on our Student Organization page.
Undergraduate Research provides opportunities to work in research laboratories with professors, experiences not available in an ordinary classroom or laboratory course. Students are able to become actively involved in data collection and data analysis as well as have the chance to write a paper for a presentation at a conference or to submit to a scientific journal. There are also opportunities to travel to regional and national conferences to present your research. More information on research opportunities can be found on our Research Opportunities page.
