Student Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Day
To showcase the innovative work of SDSU students, the Graduate School and Honors College sponsors Student Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Day.
- Date: April 14, 2026, 2-6 p.m.
- Location: Volstorff Ballroom – University Student Union
- Graduate poster show registration deadline: Friday, April 5, 2026
The graduate poster show is open to all graduate students, regardless of discipline or type of degree being earned. Students not completing a thesis or research paper are welcome to present on a project, portfolio, written work or any other type of creative activity. A group of staff judges will select the top master's and top doctoral posters to receive awards. In addition, an award will be given for Best Application of AI in Research. Only students who used AI in their research project and have opted into being judged will be included in this category.
Graduate students will need to provide a brief abstract of the project, as well as other pertinent information.
The poster show is capped at 100 presenters. The Graduate School will reach out to those who registered prior to the event to verify participation.
The graduate portion will begin with University leadership and graduate student panels, followed by graduate student poster presentations, culminating with the awards ceremony.
