Preserving South Dakota Humanities Through Digitization

Thursday, Sep. 12, 2024

Event Details

Join us for a special event in the SDSU Archives and Special Collections! Thanks to a generous grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities, we’ve successfully repaired specialized equipment that allows us to digitize and preserve valuable humanities video collections for public use.

This event will offer an inside look at our digitization process and feature highlights from newly digitized videos. Enjoy selected clips from collections such as the Pride of the Dakotas, Hobo Day, 4-H, Native author and scholar Elizabeth Cook-Lynn, Senator Thomas A. Daschle, and the South Dakota Humanities Council.

Don’t miss this chance to see how we’re preserving history for future generations!
