As a keynote speaker, Lanita White Shaverd , Pharm.D., will focus the conversation on closing the equity gap through healthcare. Our mission for the dialogue is to have people ask questions, share your thoughts, raise concerns, and learn from one another to strengthen our campus community.
Dr. Lanita Shaverd White is the director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy – led 12th Street Health and Wellness Center. She has excellent professional qualifications, plus the energy and enthusiasm to lead our conversation around a topic that is so close to our campus community. Her role as the center’s director, Dr. Lanita Shaverd White is responsible for developing and implementing health and wellness services and education for the residents of neighboring communities and, Dr. White promotes interprofessional education through the development and coordination of teaching and clinical activities among students and faculty from a variety of disciplines.
