SDSU utilizes early alert in select courses to facilitate communication between faculty, staff and students in an effort to promote student success and retention.
Early alert training is required for all faculty teaching an Early Alert course (Early Alert Course list) who have not had training in over a year; however, faculty who have attended a training session within in the past year are also welcome to attend. Training is open to any faculty member who plans to use early alert in their course(s). The training sessions will emphasize effective early alert strategies and a demonstration of ConnectState's early alert functions. Faculty are encouraged to attend their college-specific session but can attend any session. Details about available training sessions are included below. Participants will earn 1 CETL point for attending.

ConnectState platform training is also available for faculty and staff interested in utilizing ConnectState for advising and appointment scheduling. Participants will earn 1 CETL point for attending.
ConnectState training will be Tuesday, January 28 from 3-4:50 p.m. in Solberg Hall 09 and Wednesday, February 5, from 10-11:50 a.m. in Berg Agricultural Hall 139.
