At SDSU, 9-11% of the student population has disclosed a disability. ADA office expresses a strong need for faculty to consider removing barriers for our students. The question come down to how can faculty make their courses possible for all students to use all course materials and tools , to participate in learning activities, to submit assignments, and to function and learning in their courses. In this session, we will

  1. bring you to experience how accessibility impacts student learning
  2. examine what you’ve already done in your courses for accessibility and identify elements for improvement
  3. discuss 9 tips to get your course pages, documents, and video accessible
  4. share 11 instructional design tips to make an accessible online course
