A Day in the Life of a Young, Professional Landscape Architect

Event Details

Have you ever wondered what it is like to graduate with your degree in landscape architect, and then take your first professional job? Kene Okigbo presents his perspective on this exciting transition. He discusses what to expect, how to get that first job, and how to fit in with the office.

Kene Okigbo is a 2016 graduate of the NDSU Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program. He now works with RDG Planning and Design in Omaha, Nebraska, as a landscape architect in-training. He is also the chair of the Emerging Professionals Professional Practice Network for the Nebraska-Dakotas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Says Kene, "I'll be the third person in the office, but the last to leave. I'm passionate about how design impacts the lives of those being designed for."
