Bruna, Pauli to hold joint recital

South Dakota State University juniors Cade Bruna and Liz Pauli will hold a joint recital at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall.

The students, who are juniors from Madison, will alternate performing throughout the recital.

Bruna, a baritone, will perform works by Samuel Barber, Reynaldo Hahn and Giacomo Puccini. He has participated in the SDSU Concert Choir, Statesmen and been a member of the Madrigal Dinner’s royal court. He will be assisted by Melanie Timmerman on piano.

Pauli, a trumpeter, is a drum major in The Pride of Dakotas Marching Band and is a member of the SDSU Wind Symphony and Jazz Band. A two-time recipient of scholarships to attend the International Trumpet Guild Conference, Pauli will play works by Joseph Haydn, Daniel Pinkham and Georg Philipp Telemann. She will be assisted by Monica Pickard on piano.
