Autumn Lunch & Learn #1 featuring a conversation with installation artist and film maker Laura Heit (live from Portland, OR via video conference) and our Exhibits Curator, Jodi Lundgren. Experience Laura Heit's mesmerizing Two Ways Down, an installation pairing projected animation with thrown shadows cast from rotating paper dioramas. The immersive environment created in this work is inspired by Laura Heit’s consideration of Hieronymous Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights. It beautifully visualizes the split second when disaster strikes and nature and civilization collide.
Join us 12:00 - 1:00. Interactive gallery discussion with Laura Heit from 12:15 - 12:45 with time on either end to eat or explore. Bring your own lunch and a friend and we'll supply plates, cutlery and beverages. Free.
