Chamberlain to hold senior recital

South Dakota State University senior Cydney Chamberlain, a nutrition and dietetics major from Maple Grove, Minnesota, will hold a recital at 4 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.

Chamberlain, a soprano, will be assisted by Deb Kalsbeck.

The recital features six sets, starting with Bellini’s “Tre Ariette,” which includes three ariettes. The second set includes three French songs by various artists, including Bizet’s “Carmen.” The third set features Bach and Gounod’s “Ave Maria” and Mozart’s “Alleluia.” The fourth set has songs by Samuel Barber, Ned Rorem and Ernest Charles and will be in English. The fifth set will be sung in German, featuring an aria from Johann Strauss II’s “Die Fledermaus” as well as pieces composed by Mozart, Schumann and Brahms. The final set features two arias from Puccini’s “La Boheme.”
