Students seeking part-time jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities are encouraged to attend the annual Student Part-Time Job Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 4. The event, free for SDSU students, will take place from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Volstorff Ballroom in the University Student Union.
More than 40 on- and off-campus organizations will be in attendance. Businesses will be publicizing part-time jobs and internships, and nonprofits will be promoting volunteer opportunities. All students and majors are invited to attend.
Industries represented at the fair include advertising, agriculture, business, event services, foodservice, government, graphic design, hospitality, healthcare, internet and software, marketing, manufacturing, public relations, sales and science. For further details, students are encouraged to use their MyState username and password to log into Career Development’s online career management tool, Handshake, at sdstate.joinhandshake.com.
This event is an excellent opportunity for students to connect face-to-face with employers who are eager to hire SDSU students for the academic year. In addition, students can learn about service opportunities in the Brookings community.
