Don't Dump! Donate! keeps reusable material out of the landfill by providing an opportunity for students to donate items to local non-profits. Donation partners include Jack’s Cupboard, Brookings Domestic Abuse Shelter, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Holy Tabernacle Church, Share the Warmth, and The Giving Closet. Through the partnerships, quality items that students no longer want can be put to good use elsewhere.
Accepted items include:
Blankets (new or next to new)
Carpets (no stains, tears, etc.)
Chairs (no stains, tears, etc.)
Food (unopened, non-perishable)
Futons (no stains, tears, etc.)
Clothes (clean, new or next to new Items)
Gift cards (for Brookings area businesses)
Hygiene items (tampons, soap, razors, etc.)
Notebooks (can have pages torn out)
Office supplies (pens, staplers, white out, etc.)
Reusable water bottles
Sofas (no stains, tears, etc.)
…Additional items may be accepted, ask a Don’t Dump! Donate! volunteer. All items must be in reusable condition. Acceptance of items is at the discretion of the Don’t Dump! Donate! volunteers.
