Doris Kearns Goodwin, a world-renowned presidential historian, public speaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning, New York Times No. 1 best-selling author, has been confirmed as the featured guest for the Daschle Dialogues series at South Dakota State University.
The fourth-annual event will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 15 at the Performing Arts Center’s Larson Memorial Concert Hall, located on the SDSU campus. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
There is no cost to attend the event, which is underwritten by private gifts to the Senator Thomas A. Daschle Congressional Research Study through the SDSU Foundation. However, tickets are required. Tickets will be available exclusively online at 8 a.m. March 19 at 2019 Daschle Dialogue tickets. Individuals can order up to four tickets.
Goodwin’s seventh book, “Leadership: In Turbulent Times,” was published in September 2018 to critical acclaim and became an instant New York Times best-seller. A culmination of Goodwin’s five-decade career of studying the American presidents focusing on Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon Baines Johnson, the book provides an accessible and essential road map for aspiring and established leaders in every field and for all of us in our everyday lives.
