Dr. Menachem Miodovnik was Chair of the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Washington Hospital Center for 10 years prior to joining the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human development at the NIH in 2014. Currently, he is Program Scientist for the Global Network for Women’s & Children’s Health Research and the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network and is Professor at Georgetown University.
Prior to moving to Washington, DC, Menachem was Professor at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and served as Vice Chair for the Department of Ob/Gyn at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He is board certified in Ob/Gyn and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM), and received his medical degree at The Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel. He pursued postgraduate training at Hahnemann Medical College & Hospital in Philadelphia, and completed a fellowship in MFM at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. His research interests include medical & obstetrical complications of pregnancy with an emphasis on diabetes. He has over 300 peer-reviewed publications & 16 book chapters.
