The Great Plains Writers' Conference

Founded by SDSU's English Department in 1976, the Great Plains Writers' Conference (GPWC) has consistently brought a rich and varied stream of writers to South Dakota for free public readings and talks. Its aim is to support literary culture by bringing writers and readers together and by making literature accessible to our students and our community.
