Myron Williams is a national leader in the beef industry. He has served as chairman, vice chair and director of the NCBA Federation Division and on the NCBA Executive Committee. He was a director of the National Livestock and Meat Board, and a director of the U.S. Meat Export Federation. He served as chair of the South Dakota Cattlemen's Association Federal Lands Committee, and was a member of the South Dakota Beef Industry Council representing Farm Bureau.

Myron currently serves on the SDSU Foundation Board of Directors, and is a key supporter of the SDSU Steer for State program. He was a member of the Wall School District Board, FFA Advisory Board, Western Junior Livestock Board, South Dakota 4-H Rodeo Association, Central States Fair Board, Badland Hustlers 4-H leader, and a Music Leader at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

He was a finalist for the NCBA Vision Award. He was also chosen as the 2006 Friend of the Beef Industry by SDSU, 2004 South Dakota Cattleman of the year, 1997 SD High School Rodeo Person of the Year, and the 1978 SD Farm Bureau Young Farmer's and Rancher's Achievement Award.

Myron graduated from SDSU with a bachelor's degree in Animal and Range Sciences. Myron and his Mary have three children, who all attended SDSU and were members of the SDSU Rodeo Team.
