Kim Button is currently a Senior Development Manager for cloud software development at IBM in Rochester, MN. Kim leads a global development team, who are focused on creating a pre-integrated set of building blocks for IBM’s Cloud offerings and services.
Her team is focused on using DevOps and Agile practices in order to continuously deliver and meet the rapidly changing needs of our clients.
Kim has held numerous other positions at IBM prior to joining IBM Cloud. Kim served as a development manager and project manager for IBM Systems Director, which was focused on Systems Management and as a software engineer for the IBM Toolbox for Java, which provides access to the data and resources on the IBM i from any platform that supports Java.
Kim was a speaker of merit at multiple COMMON conferences and presented at several user groups. Kim is passionate about encouraging youth to pursue STEM careers and is the lead for the IBM Rochester Site Engineering Week outreach in the community, served as co-lead for Stepping into the Future at IBM, and has participated in GEMS and Ready, Set Go at South Dakota State University. Kim graduated with highest honors from South Dakota State University with a B.S. dual major in Mathematics and Computer Science.
