Colin O'Connor graduated with his B.S. in computer science from SDSU in May 2000. He started as an intern at Great Plains Software in Watertown, SD, in 1999. In 2000, he accepted full time employment.
In April of 2001, Microsoft purchased Great Plains Software. Shortly afterward, Colin moved from Watertown to Fargo, ND—the home base of Great Plains Software. He has been employed with Microsoft since that time. During his time at Microsoft, he has had multiple positions and worked on multiple business products, including manufacturing functionality for Dynamics GP, test and build infrastructure for Dynamics Ax, and human resources and payroll functionality for Dynamics Ax.
