Carly Nord, Electrical Engineering IAB

 

Carly is an electrical engineer at TSP for the past almost 8 years. Carly is responsible for the electrical systems design for new buildings and remodels. She has worked on many projects in the business, education, civic and healthcare markets. She works with the Revit program to design lighting, power and technology systems for buildings.  She works with SKM for power analysis of a building’s power system and AGI to confirm the lighting layouts comply with IES recommendations. She is also familiar with the applicable codes for electrical systems such as the NEC and IFC, as well as the energy codes of the ASHRAE and IECC as they apply to the electrical systems design. Carly also has obtained the LEED Green Associate status for energy efficiency design required for South Dakota OSE projects.
Some notable projects she has worked on have been the South Dakota State University’s Alumni Center and President’s House, Dow Rummel’s memory care and assisted living addition, and the MACCRAY Public Schools additions and renovations.  

She graduated from South Dakota State University in 2013 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Biomedical Engineering.  While at SDSU, she was a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society; she graduated with Honors; and she was a Colony founder for Alpha Omega Epsilon Engineering Sorority.

Her other interests include:  South Dakota Electrical Council member, Robot Design Judge for FIRST Robotics competitions and Big US Women’s Soccer team fan.
