Children walking in the field

Cohort 1: Non-Rural Alaska Children

During Class Nature Tours, children's behavioral and emotional interactions with the natural world were categorized under themes based on setting, environmental context and children's interests. The videos below reveal the interpersonal and intrapersonal dimensions of children's interactions. While children influenced each other, their experiences were shaped by past experiences, personal values and their interests and perspectives.
